About the Region

Uttarakhand brings together Himalayan hill stations, sparkling lakes, sacred river confluences and some of India's most revered pilgrim shrines. From lakeside weekends in Kanatal, Tehri and Nainital to the Kedarnath and Badrinath yatras, our group trips cover the best of the state in short, well-planned itineraries.

Trail Guidelines

Safety & Instructions
  • 1Carry a valid government photo ID; it is checked at boarding and at check-posts.
  • 2Pack warm layers, a rain jacket and sturdy shoes. Mountain weather changes fast, even in summer.
  • 3Keep a power bank, a refillable water bottle, sunscreen and your regular medicines handy.
  • 4AC is not run on hill stretches; expect winding roads and long drives.
  • 5Roads can close because of landslides. Follow the trip captain's instructions and keep a buffer day after the trip.
  • 6Dress modestly and remove footwear at temples; respect local customs.
  • 7For the Kedarnath and Tungnath treks, go at your own pace and tell the captain if you feel unwell at altitude.
  • 8Carry your waste back and help keep the mountains clean.

Important Note

Kedarnath and Badrinath are open seasonally (generally May to October/early November) and the yatra needs prior registration. Timings, routes and sightseeing can change with weather and road conditions.
